Music, lyrics, & movies are a few elements created to move people. As believers, we need to be careful not to allow anything to move us away from the word of God. Before our feelings and emotions, we must allow God’s word to form strong beliefs. Smith Wigglesworth, who saw mighty miracles, had this motto, “I am not moved by what I see, I am not moved by what I feel, I am only moved by what I believe.” My husband added, “And I believe God!” Let’s be like Paul said in the book of Acts 20:24, “But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24 NKJV

There’s power in numbers! If you’re feeling weak in a battle, whether it’s against your body, mind, or family, we have help today! I have found you need to have three scriptures ready to go, memorized, and coming out of your mouth. It will work against the enemy, just like the word worked for Jesus in the wilderness. Three times against the devil, Jesus said, “It is written!” “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”” Matthew 18:20 NKJV This verse shows us another example of the power of three in prayer! Wherever you are gathered, Jesus is there! And whatever you are agreed upon in prayer shall be done in the name of Jesus. You will see those prayers answered! Be encouraged today and find three scriptures & three believers to agree with you for your miracle!

The solution to sin is ultimately Jesus and everything He has to offer! There is a devil, he is a liar, and his mission from the beginning of time has been to deceive the human race to enter into sin resulting in separation from God. This all started in the garden of Eden. We see the enemy enticing Adam and Eve into sin and then once they ate of the the forbidden tree, disobeying God, immediately bringing shame to them. Their sin was revealed to them. They knew then they were naked and became afraid to fellowship with God. The enemy is still trying to get us to fall into temptation, so we too will feel separated from God and afraid to pray. But He is our Father, Who loves us and sent His only son Jesus, to completely obliterate the sin problem!

One trick of the enemy, when you have made a mistake, is to get you to run from God. When the truth is, God is our help in the time of trouble. Running away only creates a deeper mess. Realizing God is everywhere leads you to the fact, He is inescapable. Charles Spurgeon said, “To seek to flee God’s presence in any and every direction is to fly into the center of the fire to escape the heat.” Meaning, there’s no secluded location, no remote island, or corner of the universe where God doesn’t have access. We must learn our answer is always in God. The first response to our problem is to take it to God. The Bible says in Acts 17:28, “…for in Him we live and move and have our being…” He is our very life. Today, run back to God. He loves you and He’ll never change His mind about you.

My grandma would say, “It’s easier to fix the roof when the sun is shining than when it is raining!” What does that mean? You can be prepared in the good times with an answer before there is ever a problem, like a storm. God wants you to know with such a confidence in the answers found in His word! Think about this, isn’t it easier to pass a test in school when you had studied all the right answers. The same is true in life, the devil sends problems yet Jesus has already prepared us with the answers. Therefore, we don’t need to wait for a test to come before we start studying and becoming convinced of the answer!

The enemy wants you to quit and stop pursuing God’s purpose for your life! He will try to apply tremendous pressure tempting you to give up. Instead of throwing in the towel, look at this verse, “But those who wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NKJV God wants to renew your strength so just wait! To wait means to expect, looking for, tending to with expectancy. When you feel weak, God wants to give you power when you expect Him to strengthen you. Don’t grow tired in doing good. Today, choose to wait on the Lord, and He’ll renew your strength and cause you to run in your calling!

A response is a reaction to a question or experience. Therefore, there should be a response of faith when you experience the presence of God. Think about this example. Last week, I was carrying a large patio umbrella to the trailer to be hauled off. It was awkward to hold because it was broken. As I’m trying to load this umbrella on this very hot day, something ice cold is on my right foot. I looked down to find a black snake wrapped around my leg, and its head is resting on my foot. I screamed, “Snake! Snake! Snake!” as I was jumping backwards and shaking my leg. The snake flew off into the yard. It was over 5 feet long and was terrifying. The presence of God is not terrifying like this experience was to me, but I wanted you to see the situation demanded a response. I could not just stand still. When you encounter God, you can’t just stand still. He demands a response. Many people may cry, some shout praises, others left their hands in worship. When God gets on you, you sound different, you’ll start speaking faith. Your faith is alive and ready to respond to God’s presence and His word.

If you are not able to be offended, you are very strong in the Lord. First, this means you are walking in love which is not easily provoked or offended. We know that our faith works by love, so this is an essential part of a believer’s life. Secondly, being unoffendable is knowing there’s only one enemy and that’s the devil. There’s no need to get into a people fight! In other words you are very mature, you’ve grown up in the Lord. Living your life in this way, where you choose not to get offended makes you so powerful to the kingdom of God.

Many people believe God is still mad at them for a sin they’ve already repented of doing. The enemy wants you to think God is unforgiving and He’ll remember your sins forever. This is a lie! “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 5:15 NKJV Notice the Bible says, “If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” God is willing to forgive you as soon as you ask! Peter asked Jesus, How many times do we need to forgive? “Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Matthew 18:22 NKJV Remember, God would never ask you to do something He’s not willing to do! He asked us to forgive our brother 490 times a day. Surely, Our Father God can forgive us!
